The Calm Before the Storm

When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation.

The storm of life can throw many obstacles our way. Life is often times a storm. A storm that will ravage through out us, but we are left to stand ground. The wind will come and push us as far as we can be pushed. We are like the trees of a storm. The wind will blow greatly against them until they are forced to break. They break out of fear. They break out of incompetence. They break because that is the easiest. It is the most simple to break away and fall back into the darkness. It is easy to give up, but not easy to stand and hold on. It's not always easy to be bent in a situation, but God helps us through our struggle. As we go to God, he pushes the storm away and relieves the pressure on base. We may have lost a few branches, but God has blessed us by allowing us not to break. God will regrow the branches lost. God will replenish your beautiful leaves. God takes care of his children.
"I will never forsake you or abandon you." Hebrew 13:5

When the storm of life is shaking us, God is there. When our leaves our stripped from our branches, God is there. When our trunks are on the verge of breaking under pressure, God is there. When we call upon him, God is there. God is always there for his people if you will just come to him for your help.
"For the sake of his own great name the LORD will not abandon his people, since the LORD himself chose to make you his people." 1 Samuel 12:22
Never to be abandoned. Never to be forsaken. God will always be there for his children. He will always help in a way that is sometimes misunderstood to people. God works in mysterious ways if you allow him to reach you.
"To the one who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you unblemished and exultant, in the presence of his glory,to the only God, our savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord be glory, majesty, power, and authority from ages past, now, and for ages to come. Amen." Jude 1:24-25

I title this segment "The Calm Before The Storm" due to the fact that life may be calm before a rough setting, but through the power of the Holy Trinity we are able to maintain our status through the rough times. We may be shaken up a bit, but use the time before the storm to be faithful to the Lord. Do not ask for the help of God only when you need it.Remember all that God has done for you. The storm will pass as it always does and look to God to pick up the pieces. Appreciate God. Worship God. Walk with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
