A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls
Proverbs 25:28
The break down of a person roots from the habits that the person implements. The habits are hardly what causes problems for the people, but instead it is excess of the habits. Self control breaks down the barriers of a person making them vulnerable. Self control can be practiced and maintained through the help of Jesus Christ. A person has to learn to practice the meaning of too much excess causing damage to the person and to society.
So think clearly and exercise self-control. Look forward to the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world.
1 Peter 1:13
Lack of self control leaves a person to live for very little. Having the ability to stop enables the person to be able to effectively have power over him/herself. It is easily obtained through the power of Christ.
He will die for lack of self-control;he will be lost because of his great foolishness.
